Tabarca island boat trips. Take a relaxing trip to the nearby Island of Tabarca or sail along the coast and admire the beautiful scenery. You can also enjoy an evening dinner cruise with on board entertainment during the summer months. The glass-bottom boat departs every hour to Tabarca island for approx €6/€10.
There are two aqua parks in the area. Both have rapids, Kamikaze & Zig Zag water slides. Wave pool, swimming pools & infants pool. Jacuzzi, mini golf, restaurant, cafeteria & lots more. These fun water parks is a great place to visit when the sun is beating down, taking a dip in the pools is the only thing that will cool you off. The life guards keep an eye on what’s going on making sure everything runs smoothly. You have the option to bring food and drink with you, or you can use the existing bars and restaurants (fast food), on the premises. Kids love it.
The equestrian centre, Centro Ecuestre International can be found on the main road into Torrevieja. Follow directions to the Carrefour and it is situated on the right hand side about 5 km before you actually reach the supermarket, just before the San Luis Roundabout. They offer lessons for all levels and have an excellent restaurant.
There are 5 Spanish golf courses in the area, Villamartin Golf Course, Las Ramblas Golf, Campoamor Golf Course, La Finca, plus Altorreal in Murcia, all are within easy driving distance.
There are two Go-Kart tracks in the area, one to the south of Torrevieja, the other near Santa Pola. Safe fast fun for all the family with snack bars and restaurants on site.
A permanent fun fair has its home just off the Promenade too.
Torrevieja beaches (or Playas) are famous for the fine sand and clear water. In between some of the main beaches you will find small rocky coves and even an occasional island to explore! All the main beaches are blue flag to meet EU environmental standards. On the main beaches you will find all the usual water sports, pedalos, jet skis etc. Most have a beach bar where you can buy snacks, drinks ice creams. Most have sun lounger hire. With over 320 days of sunshine a year and a year round average temperaure of 20c.
The beaches at Torrevieja include Playa los Locos, Playa del Cura, Playa Naufragos and Playa del Acequion, all along the coast of Torrevieja town.
It is possible to fish from the harbour wall at the end of Guardamar beach where the Segura river meets the sea.
